Card Sets

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! This week, I am sorry to say I have not created any shamrock cards this year.
A friend of mine has a birthday coming up next week and she loves sending cards to people. So for her birthday this year, I made her a set of cards. Think of you, Birthday, Get well soon, Just Because, and Thank you. Hope you enjoy the cards, and they give you some ideas for your own cards. I want to get some shimmery black and pink paper that create more of the chandelier cards. I love them!
Since today is Hello Thursday at Cricut, I have gotten to see some of the new carts. I CANNOT WAIT to be able to get the new Pop-Up Card Cart!! It looks fantabulous! If you haven't seen them yet, head of to
 http://www.just-a-scrappin.blogspot.com/om and check them out!!

Cricut Dust Cover

YEAH I finished the 1st year album. it only took me 3 weeks of putting it together (not sure how long to plan it) It is done and time to move onto new projects. It will be another week or two before I post pics of the final album. I want my cousin to have it in his and his wife's hands first since it is for them.
Onto so GREAT News!! I NOW OWN A GYPSY!!! My husband and I both decided we are done playing softball so he sold our bats (well his bats but one was for my use) and with some of the money from them I bought my gypsy. I've been playing with it for the last few days and I'm having a blast with it. There are still a few things I'll still be using my DS for (like when I need to design using a borrowed cartridge, which they really need to have an update that allows to you to use a borrowed one with the gypsy)
My next project will be working on a set of cards for a friends birthday. I thought her birthday was in April, but it is actually next week! YIKES. I have the cards layed out on the gypsy and ready to cut them tomorrow and essemble the cards this week (have i mentioned i LOVE my gypsy?). Then it will be onto making a mosaic layout or two or three. I want to use them for wall decor instead of for a scrapbook.
Here is something I created tonight for my scraproom. If you know me, you know I adore giraffes. So this fits in my room extremely well.

My wonderful hasbund FINALLY hung my cabinet the other week so I could start filling it with all my embellishments. Here it is with some of my giraffes. The really big one is one that I sewed myself. It was a fleece panel.

Hope you all have a great week and HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY alittle early. check back later this week for some fun cards! And maybe, just maybe a few blog challenges...if I get the cards done!

Baby's 1st year

For the past few weeks I have been working on a baby album for my cousin who's expecting his first child. This is the first album I've ever done without pictures so I did ALOT of planning and research on what pages to put in and for different layouts. Besides listing what pages to do along with if they were single or double layouts I also drew up a mock album on paper with the layout ideas, titles, embellishments and cricut carts that I'd be using on each page (like I said LOTS of research and planning) Last weekend at the retreat I FINALLY started putting the album pages together. I got 20 (can you believe it?!?!) pages accomplished!!! I was super excited. Since then I have gotten 12 pages finished.
Here are a few pics of some of the pages I've done so far (I can't post them all, if my cousin or his wife see this blog, I don't want them to see all the pages).
Check out the flowers on the pages. I absolutely love, love, love, making these paper flowers that we learn how to do at the retreat!!
Thanks for looking. If you have any ideas for my other pages please let me know.

Retreat!

I an at my first ever retreat! So far I've gotten quite a few pages done for a baby album that i'm creating. I've also been learning new techniques that I'll be sharing next week. For this week, I'm posting a quick and simple card from the New Arrival Cartridge. This card feature is awesome and easy! Just print, detail and you're done!

Enjoy your weekend, I know I am!!

My pink stamper challenge

I'm re-posting this layout. The challenge is to use black and your favorite color to create a project. Black normally is my favorite color. Red and pink are normally my other colors.
